Solutions Architect 

Responsibilities

• End to end project contribution from discovery and presales to final delivery
• Architecting AWS applications based on customer requirements while following AWS & industry specified best practices
• Client interaction throughout project lifecycles including requirements gathering, quoting & progress tracking
• Design and prototype AWS cloud infrastructure, create infrastructure and security architecture documents covering deep technical aspects of the implementation
• Working alongside Cloud Engineers during project build phases – ensuring that correct DevOps practices are being followed and implemented
• Being an escalation point for Cloud Engineers during project builds
• Attendance of Cloud and Industry events & face to face client meetings
• Mentoring and working with Junior staff to encourage continuous learning and improvement
• Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices

Required Technical Expertise

• 3 Years of AWS Solutions Architecture experience
• Minimum of 1 AWS Associate level certification
• Experience working in a DevOps environment (Including Linux, Git & CI/CD Pipelines)
• Infrastructure-as-code experience (CloudFormation or Terraform)
• Knowledge of serverless applications (Event Driven, Microservices etc)
• Networking knowledge including IP Ranges, Subnetting, Routing & VPNs
• Strong and meticulous documentation

Preferred technical Expertise

• AWS Professional or Specialty level certifications
• Experience working with Containers or Kubernetes
• Previous experience working on cloud migrations
• Previous coding experience (Python preferred)
